FAQ

How does the supper club work?
Just think of it like a restaurant but in a home setting, with me as your personal chef. Diners have the advantage of asking questions about the dishes and I can guide them through the process of preparing and cooking each course. Guests also have the ability to see everything being cooked too!

How many people come? Can I come on my own?
Usually around 8 guests, give or take a couple. I've done dinners for up to 40 at bigger venues but at this one is at my own flat, I have space limitations! Some guests come on their own, some with a friend/ partner/parent. It's a great way to meet people who share a passion for food good.

What about alcohol?
You're welcome to bring your own but as I don't have an alcohol license I'm unable to serve it myself.

How does payment work?
The supper club works on a suggested donation basis. The guide is usually between £20-£30 depending on the cost of ingredients, how many courses there are and how time intensive the preparations are.

Can you cater for my dinner party?
Yes, just send an email. I've done a few birthdays etc and would be happy to discuss your needs and give you a free quote.

I have an allergy/intolerance, is that ok?
As long as you mention at the time of booking then I'm absolutely happy to cater for everyone's dietary requirements, I myself have a few allergies so I understand the struggle!

Who makes the food?
I'm the chef and founder of Sheffield Supper Club aka Komal Khan, I've experience working in a variety of Sheffield kitchens professionally for the past 15 years. I trained at the reputable City College under Mick Burke and gained a professional chefs diploma at the highest level plus an award for outstanding achievement. I also taught catering for two years, to young adults with autistic spectrum disorders at Freeman college.
